The Baltimore Ravens agreed to a one-year contract with Marc Bulger on Wednesday, giving them a veteran quarterback as a possible starter should Joe Flacco be injured next season. Bulger's salary will be $3.8 million, but he could receive as much as $5.3 million with incentives, a league source told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora on Wednesday.

Im sure Bulger loves this. Good money, chance to see the deeper portions of the playoffs, and he doesnt get his ass kicked off the planet every Sunday.

:rubeyes::thud:

Somwhere......in an office all alone.........the GM for Arizona is ready to commit suicide. Chicago too.

What a great, great move for Baltimore. This will ONLY help Flacco....and also the team in case Flacco gets hurt.

:wow: Nice job Baltimore...

They had to restuff him good after the beating he took in STL.
;)

I know....pretty lame "Wizard of Oz" reference. Atleast he got his Brain!

The Baltimore Sun reports that new Ravens QB Marc Bulger is fine with being a backup in Baltimore after starting 95 of his first 96 NFL games. "It should be a different role, but it was made clear to me up front that would be my role there," said Bulger, who officially signed his one-year, $3.8 million deal this week. "I understand whatever capacity I can help Joe, I'll do it. It's just about helping us win football games."
Analysis: Bulger will back up Joe Flacco in 2010 and will likely only get a shot at starting if Flacco gets hurt. Do not draft him by any means.

Not sure I agree here. Assuming large leagues...have a back up Qb in case of injury with the tools Baltimore now has may not be a bad FF move.

I agree. Bulger is a guy to have buried on your large league roster. This time around he would have protection and a glut of power players all around him.
