Ravens Rookie WR Torrey Smith a potential starter?

Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome said Wednesday that No. 58 overall pick WR Torrey Smith will be given a chance to start as a rookie. Smith was considered raw by draftniks, but Newsome expects him to play early and often. "He's coming in to compete to be a starting wide receiver," said the GM. Ideally, Smith would emerge as an every-down wideout and be able to threaten defenses vertically on all passing downs. Derrick Mason and Anquan Boldin could then focus on possession routes they're more suited for.

A WR to keep an eye on during those dynasty rookie drafts as Smith may have landed on a great opportunity getting drafted by the Ravens. There may be some Return action also for those leagues that reward returners. A.J Green and Julio Jones will fly off the boards fast during dynasty rookie drafts as well they should. Maybe this is a name that should pop into your head shortly after that.

Field stretcher in 3 wide sets that will drop half the balls that manage to reach him would be my guess.

pfft, passing offense goes through Boldin and Mason. Even if he gets starts, he won't see many balls.
