Some kids just get it! I am real excited for the Packers. I think they got a great new toy!

Packers | Rookie WR Cobb going to workout with Fitzgerald Tue May 17, 11:58 AM Tom Silverstein, from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, reports Packers rookie WR Randall Cobb is flying to Arizona this week to work out with Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald. Former NFL receivers coach Jerry Sullivan helps conduct the workouts and recently veteran quarterback Donovan McNabb was there to throw passes. "I'm really looking forward to that," Cobb said. "There will be a lot of good receivers and quarterbacks there. They're going to help me to be an NFL receiver."
Our view: Cobb is a dynamic and versatile playmaker who can attack a defense in a number of different ways. Working out with Fitzgerald (and Packers teammate Greg Jennings) will help the rookie get ready for the pro game. Cobb is seen as the eventual replacement to Donald Driver.

Love Cobb for the Pack! He will be huge for them, especially in the slot...

I like what he can do. Still a little surprised they seem so willing to give up on james Jones, but they did well in grabbing Cobb. I think he could be more than just a slot receiver. Long term, look for Cobb to develop into the #2 in GB behind Jennings.

I don't feel they gave up on jones at all. I just think they realize they have someone who can do the same thing in Jordy, and they can get a 2nd rounder for jones in Free agency. You hit the nail on the head when it comes to Cobb. He will replace Driver, and this will still lead to the dilema that Green bays 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wr's will be much better than the DB who is trying to cover them. When you throw Finley into the mix the Def.Coordinator overheats and blows a circuit.

If they tender him at a 2nd round price I think Jones stays in GB.....I don't see anyone giving a 2nd for him, but I could be wrong.

He's been tendered and I could have sworn I posted it here somewhere. I thought it was a second, but today when i look it says he has an unknown tender??? I think it is in the tigress lair draft commentary, and i will look for it. I posted when I grabbed Jones way after Jordy, like 115 picks later.

Isn't unknown due to the fact that depending on what rules they use, he can't be tendered?

Oh, Cobb won't replace Jordy, Jordy is and will be the man instead of Cobb. Cobb will be slot guy, and still very, very productive.

Yeah, I said it.
