We have a thread about Raider WRs that shows how wide open that situation in Oakland really is.

We have one thread about Sam Bradford that suggests that he may be ready to step up this year.

But if Bradford is going to step up:
It's like Phicinfan says, they have to get a solid starting Wr to work with him to pair with Amendola.

He's right, it can't be just Amendola, but who will step up in that groups of WRs and be a solid starting WR. Or will it just be a combo of WRs stepping up just a little bit and Bradford just marginally improves? Or maybe a TE will save the day?

I'm really excited to see what the big freak Kendricks can do there. If McDaniel's can truly game plan for the position who knows how that is going to go, but it could be a good year for the rookie.

I think you have to balance need, vs. your young stud Qb you just got in place.

What I mean there is, you have your Franchise Qb, who is in his second year. He is in charge, but still green. I don't think you want to bring in a malcontent or a me person who will try and strip him of leadership. It is why I am very leery of a Moss, or Steve Smith or Ocho Cinco in this case. I also don't think you break the bank on a Sydney Rice who has injury history. So, what do you do?
1) Hope Clayton comes back healthy, and can stay that way....... Issue there is he hasn't been able to most of his career.
2) Take a shot on Plaxico? He wasn't a malcontent, but two years out of the game is alot of rust.
3) Rely on young core to break out? Avery and Gibson showed flashes. But again, injuries held them out.
4) Try to sign a "safer" FA - if rumors are true, and 4years is the mark. You have Edwards, Breaston, V.Jackson, Holmes who could step in to be the #1

Of the options listed....If they could get Breaston or Jackson without breaking the bank, I would. Edwards and Holmes don't excite me as much. I might just see if my youngsters come out instead.

AS Phicinfan noted: 1) Hope Clayton comes back healthy, and can stay that way....... Issue there is he hasn't been able to most of his career.

Clayton is healthy again, says his knee is "wonderful", as he has been a participant with Sam Bradford during workouts. A free agent right now but was reported to have been close to re-signing with the Rams just before the lockout. After adding a couple of WRs during the draft we will have to see if he does get re-signed after the CBA is done.
