Rams intersted in Westbrook

(Rotoworld) Free agent Brian Westbrook's concussion problems are no longer believed to be of medical concern. Analysis: They will be if he suffers another concussion, of course, but Westbrook's balky left knee appears to be the main thing cooling his market value. The 30-year-old also has an arthritic ankle. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch confirms that the Rams appear to be the only team pursuing Westbrook at this time.

(TheHuddle) Updating a previous item, a St. Louis media source said free-agent RB Brian Westbrook passed his physical with the St. Louis Rams, reports Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia Daily News. Analysis: Westbrook would make an interesting complement to Steven Jackson should he wind up with the Rams, though with so many teams passing on him already you have to wonder just what he has left in the tank.

Rumor has it, the contract was offered to Westbrook and the ball is in his court. Not sure what he is deciding on...as the line for his services is not long. I hope this isn't a mistake for Westbrook.

I truly hope that Brian Westbrook is not having money issues. It would be a horrible story to read that he could be putting his life on the line to play football because he is broke!

Being a big Eagles fan, I think Westbrook is a phenomenal talent and as you can see from last year's sans-Westbrook games, they struggle. Personally though, because of the two concussions. I think he should retire and just appreciate the rest of his life. I also would like to see him retire an Eagle and not having played for anyone else.

It still cringe when I see Randal Cunningham in a Cowboys jersey, McNabb in a Redskins jersey, Reggie White wearing a Packers/Panthers uni, and Dawkins in a Broncos jersey. Man free agency kinda sucks the fan experience out of the game...but I guess it does have its good sides like helping a team win a Super Bowl or getting a good player on your favourite team. LMAO

I've always dreamed of an NFL that had a geographical recruitment zone and that once you were in that zone...that was it.

If you went to LSU, you were a Saint...that's it...No questions.

I know it would never work but think of the fan loyalty and pride of having your home team staffed with nothing but players from your home area.

I figure they could split up area's by enrollment, kind of like the electoral college creates zones based on population.

KC could farm from Nebraska, Iowa etc.

The tough ones would be 2 NY teams 2 Pennsylvania teams, Washington, New England, Baltimore, all within a reasonably small area of the country.

I wonder who would get Oklahoma?

They'd be GREAT next year. :duckhunt:

Then Jamarcus Russell would be a Saint by default, i like this idea
