Okay we have to talk this, cause when it comes to rumors that Fitzgerald wants $18 million a year.....it is getting rediculous.

Teams and current starting Qbs(back ups):
AFC East:
Patriots - Brady(Garappollo)
Jets - ????(G.Smith)
Bills - T.Taylor(E.J. Manuel...for now)
Dolphins - Tannehill(L.Thomas)

AFC North:
Bengals - Dalton(McCarron)
Steelers - Big Ben(Landry Jones)
Ravens - J.Flacco(Mallett??)
Browns - J.McCown(A.Davis...soon to be rookie draft pick??)

AFC South:
Houston - Hoyer??(Savage)
Colts - Luck(Whitehurst)
Titans - Mariota(Mettenberger)
Jaguars - Bortles(Henne)

AFC West:
Broncos - ?????(????)
Chiefs - A.Smith(????)
Chargers - P.Rivers(Clemmens)
Raiders - Carr(McGloin)

NFC East:
Dallas - Romo(Weeden)
Eagles - Bradford(C.Daniels..just signed)
Redskins - Cousins(McCoy)
Giants - E.Manning(Nassib)

NFC North:
Packers - Rodgers(Tolzien/Hundley...late report has them moving Hundley up)
Vikings - Bridgewater(Hill)
Lions - Stafford(Orlovsky)
Bears - Cutler(Claussen)

NFC South:
Panthers - Newton(D.Anderson)
Falcons - Ryan(Renfree)
Saints - Brees(Grayson/Flynn)
Buccaneers - Winston(Glennon)

NFC West:
Cardinals - Palmer(Stanton)
Seahawks - Wilson(Jackson)
49ers - ?????(Kaepernick, Gabbert)
Rams - ????(Keenum, Foles, Manion)

So looking at this list we have 4 professional teams with NO starting QB. No Jets fans Geno is NOT a starting Qb. Actually you could say 5 since Houston has proven Hoyer is not viable.

FA Qbs - RG3, Osweiler, Fitzgerald are your best options....YUCK!

Looks like there will be deals made to get the top 2 Qbs in this draft. Tennesee must be dancing a jig.

again, for those who felt Philly overspent for Bradford...yup, but look why! Now them getting the #8 pick instead of their #13 could be telling......

I will add, I don't care how bad you are, if you are going to pay Fitzgerald $16 million a season, you deserve to be bad. Draft a Qb and move on.

No one wants McCarron? Seems like a trade with the Bengals wouldn't be that crazy. Still rookie contract I believe so don't have to pay him a ton. Roll him out there as your starter, if it doesn't work than your probably getting a high pick and draft one next year.

Man looking at this list what a sorry state for the qb position. Starters not that impressive and man those backups are brutal. Cant believe I was thinking this but my next thought was if the Broncos can't trade for McCarron maybe they can work a deal for Landry Jones.

Your forgetting Mike Glennon!

Tampa has no use for him now and I STILL think he is NFL caliber.
Is he the poor man's Brock Osweiler? Lol.

Still pretty unbelievable 18 mil for a qb with 7 starts. Kind of wonder had Glennon been in Denver last year backing up Manning if he would have been inline for a mammoth contract too.

I agree, Glennon is a real option, but I don't think Cincy gives away McCarron. He is Dalton insurance and is dirt cheap. Would take alot to get him IMO.

Okay, what exactly is Fitzgerald asking for?????

I get NYJ are low balling him, with thier cap issues they have to. But to go into Denver, be there for a full day and more, and THAT team say his asking price is too high, on a team with basically ONLY the Sanchize at Qb. YIKES!

This is really starting to get interesting:
Plots to work out:
1) RGIII spends a few days with the Jets (Message to Fitz...we can move on if we have to....)
2) Fitz goes to Denver, but no contract( Jets are tickled pink here, as it proves their point of view)
3) San Fran WANTS to deal Kaepernick, but no one is offering. Kaep wants to go to cleveland, until they lost OT and Mack at C and now isn't so high on them.... Denver still looking at Kaep, and feel he is worth a 4th rounder, but they don't have a 4th rounder they can deal, only a compensatory pick(2017 you can trade those picks, not this year though).

I wonder if some of these teams, just are going to jockey to get a QB in the draft. Cleveland probably will in first round, I wouldn't as they have not shown to be able to do so, and I think the kids in 2nd round can make it just as well as these supposed 1st rounders. SF could take a Qb at 7, wonder if Kaep deal gets done then if they do.

Might lead to a few teams sitting still until the draft.

Only problem with that is if you don't draft a QB, no the FA QBs have even more leverage on you

If sanity ruled, which it doesn't, in the current QB market you take a guy like Sanchez, or RGIII, of Friggin Weeden...someone who has taken a few NFL snaps. Trade down in the draft for a top pick in next year's draft. Draft 3 or 4 middle to late round rookie QBs (look really hard at the small colleges) and suffer through a dismal season.

Use this draft to address line weaknesses or defense and prepare for the 2017 draft to get your next franchise guy.

It's crazy to pay top dollar for a 3rd tier QB.

There are 7 rounds in the NFL draft. Taking 4 QB's in the middle leaves you a 1,2, and a 7. You won't do a lot of repairing to your team doing that but I get your drift.
