Priorities, Priorities

Many posters here are in numerous fantasy leagues. Some are in an enormous number of leagues.

But if you could win it all in only one, which would it be and why?

Mine is easy:

Professional Football League.

It's my only money league and was the first fantasy league I ever joined. The competition level ain't great but we added Chris and E this year so that should be changing. Mud has been a top player for years and beating him always brings me great joy. I had a dream team last year but somehow finished 3rd so bringing home the trophy here would be paramount.

SOFFL2

Incredible level of competition in this one. A group of savvy players that won't get caught sleeping often. Though winning this league would be a bright feather in my cap there are no grudges here.

Sports Outlaw Fantasy Baseball League

I LOVE THIS LEAGUE! It's my first stab at baseball and I am thoroughly enjoying it. The daily action is addictive and I'm faring pretty well considering I couldn't name a dozen MLB players before I joined. There is very little emotion here and almost NO forum activity but it's a pleasant ride with a good group of Joes (and Janes) so I'm not complaining. I have no ambitions of winning this year but can easily see this league becoming a very important part of my fantasy resume'.

Sports Outlaw Season Challenge

What a HOOT! Have no idea what I'm doing, have never played defensive players, didn't know we got "return yards" until last week and if it wasn't for Sarge I still wouldn't know I needed 2 starting QBs. I would be surprised if I finished anywhere but dead last, but that's OK. Learning as I go and would ultimately like to be in an IDP dynasty league someday so it's great training.

Lombardi, Death From Above, Hired Guns, Shula.....

Which is the league that you would KILL to win it all in?

Id have to agree with you the league Ive been in the longest is also with the most money and the guys i know. Nothing beats tearing up someone you have to listen to talking smack all week!!

Shula.............

Far from my biggest money league, but the trash talk is heavy and the competition is tough. Plus, 5 keeper is fun. Keep enough players to think ahead, but still have to draft well. 16 team is fun too..........

Repeat in 2010............:xpopcorn:

Death League. I founded it in 2007 and Ive been very pleased with how its grown and how the competition level has gotten better and better. I thought I had it won last year with an 11-2 team headed for the playoffs. Then the Patriots crapped themselves and that was it.

The other is the SOFFL. I had it won until Willie Parker broke his leg in the title game. Lost to Coachnorm by 4 damn points..........

Lets see:

I am in IBL - which I would love to win as overall champ, since it is us against 7 other boards who are "experts" in Fantasy football. I have been on a team twice that has won the team championship(one here the year before last), but have never won the overall single title.

The other would be my first league I ever joined, that is still running. 14 years total. My only $ league. We went from a local league from guys who I work with to a national league as some of those guys have changed companies and moved out of state. One person just moved to China. So I guess we are now international. It is a one keeper league, and the scoring is very difficult. 2pts for Tds. I have been in the playoffs all but two years. Have made the finals 8 times. I have never won the league though. :banghead:

Other leagus - Hired Guns(league I formed here :thrash: ), SUDFFL - second oldes league, I brought with me from another site. This league is a bitch due to scoring and lineup requirements. But have won this twice.

GREAT question...any league hosted through this site is incredibly competitive and is filled with some of the best minds in fantasy football. Of the four that I'm in (Season Challenge, Renegades, Shut up and Draft, and Hired Guns), I'd have to say Hired Guns then Challenge.
Hired Guns is a no slack league that mimics the NFL, you don't draft your team, you build your team through years of trading, free agency moves, and rookie drafts. I've been the opposite of successful in this league, and to be able to win it would be an honor.
In the Season Challenge, every pick must be well thought out. As you have no roster changes, you have to draft quality, from your first pick to your last. Add in the IDPs and this league is pure excitement.

Off site, there are three others that I'm desperate to win.
The first being the first league I ever joined, TTFFL. It is a simple 2 man keeper league with standard PPR scoring. Throughout the last decade I've been destined to mediocrity here, making the playoffs and then following that with a quick elimination. Last year was my most successful year in this league, and while I was only able to finish third, it was certainly a step in the right direction.

The second of which is a league my best friend and I started 5 years ago, DSFFL. In this redraft PPR league, I have 3 second place trophies and 1 third (I do not want to talk about my performance last year). It would be nice to get over the hump and win it all.

And the final is my big money league, BFL. This league is hosted by my soon-to-be brother-in-law, and while it's only in its second year, the bragging rights at Sunday dinners would sure be nice, not to mention the hefty payout at the season's end.

So, in order, I would have to go: BFL, Hired Guns, TTFFL, Season Challenge and DSFFL.

i'm in 4 . . . 1 keeper w/ idp which i've always been strong in and won once (been in this 1 the longest, but the competition varies) . . . joined renegades and then soffl2 . . . and another league from saintsreport w/ idp . . . i love the competition here and would love to win either or both from this site . . . ;)

Between the two FF leagues im in via Sports Outlaw L2K and SOFFL II i think the more rewarding is for only bragging rights in SOFFL II

L2K is just as rewarding in cash payout but sometimes Bragging is Priceless

Both are highly competitive with many owners are in both leagues

Great thread!!

I'm in 8 leagues this year but my highest priority is my local league, Valrico Nation. It's a one keeper league, 3pt TD and scoring designed to be limited. Unfortunately the only title I've won in the past 4 years is the "Buffalo Bills" award because my team is virtually unstoppable until the Championship game...and then decides to sleep. Considering this league contains 3 of my 4 brothers and all childhood friends no victory or loss is forgotten.....ever. LOL

My highest priority SO League is Death From Above League. Last year was my first in the league and I dominated and won my division with a 10-3 record and was on track to take my 4 starting WR's and Aaron Rodgers to the Championship game.... (yes, I see the pattern). Had I made it past the semi-finals, I would have won the league with the performance my guys delivered the final week. This league houses some of the most fearless and fiercest fantasy teams so I'm back to defend my title knowing full well that this league is anyone's to win. This win would be incredible.
:thrash:

I don't prioritize well.... I'm a "Get 'er dun" kind of girl so the rest of my leagues are all important to me in one area or another.

Outlaw Renegades is a challenging and exciting PPR league with 2 flex positions making the draft the biggest key to winning... something I underestimated last year and hovered in the bottom third of the teams. Without any divisions, its really a winner-takes-all format with a wider span of starting combinations than my other leagues.

FFO not only showcases some the finest minds in fantasy football, but it does so live on the radio. So be prepared to listen to your mistakes broadcast to a nation of avid fantasy players. I love this league but drafted horribly last year and paid for it week after week. This year... I'm turning my frown up-side-down and trading in my Neon for a Hummer. It might be a gas guzzler but it has the ability to own the road. Winning this league would be a significant accomplishment.

Hired Guns and Outlaw County are my two dynasty leagues with a twists. Both leagues had an opening as last season ended and I jumped in to steer 2 sinking ships back in the right direction. As Danny mentioned, Hired Guns is extremely challenging as it mirrors the rules and activities of the NFL with salary caps, contract years, RFA UFA... etc. This league is a mental adjustment but I love it! Highly competitive players year-round... as I'm pretty sure non of us ever sleep. Outlaw County hires IDP and showcases another elite group of fantasy players. Rookie drafts, waivers and trades host the party in the these leagues and I'm thrilled to have joined their ranks. Both teams need a lot of work so winning these leagues....eventually.... would be like satisfying and unsatiable hunger.

Jumping at the chance to join J-E-T-T, a second local league with my fellow Bucs Believer Skedar I'll be dancing with the best of Tampa Bay in this ppr redraft league and looking forward to it. I'm not looking to win this one this year, just get acquainted and hold my own. However, my eyes will always be fixed on the prize and if I can be a dark horse and gallop to the top I'll kick my heels and put my head down!

My desert league is NFL Season Challenge. This league is designed to identify the true draft-prophets among us and it's no picnic...yet. 23 positions with IDP and 2 starting QB as previously mentioned adds whole other level of Tabasco to your drafting strategy. Again, this is my first year playing against 15 other teams who at the very least are masters of trash talk and competition. I don't know what to expect, but the best thing about desert is that it's always the perfect finish to an incredible experience.

Great question! For years I would have said my local league as nothing is better than bragging right on your buddies......BUT, it's kinda a been there done that thing for me now.

There are 3 that are at the top of the mountain for me right now. If I had to only pick one I would rank them as:

1. BWW All Star League - To sit at the top of this league.....with these players....would be a fantasy football career highlight for anyone. I feel honored to just be a part of it and now winning it is my #1 priority in my leagues.

2. Shula - #2 was tough. Shula is the only long time league I have ever been a part of that I have not won. What makes it worse is while I have never won, in 10 years I have an amazing record of making the playoffs in EVERY season. No other team boasts that.....but the playoffs don't interest me......the CHAMPIONSHIP does!

3. Hired Guns - My most enjoyable league due to the complex nature of it. I love the cap and all the strategy that comes with it. Taking this title down is something I would love to do.

Well, good luck with that. No CHAMPIONSHIPS in your future. It's Devastation time.............

Yeah, cause you have just soooooo many title.....oh wait, for all those great teams you have 1.....1 more than me, but still not quite a devastating record now is it ;)
