The Mendy thread got me thinking, what are the going prices of cuffing some of the running games? Based on current ADP (via football calc) here is the going rates to control each running game (non-ppr):

NE: Maroney (11.8); Morris (12.5); Taylor (13.1)
Buff: Lynch (4.5); Jackson (9.10)
NYJ: Jones (5.3); Washington (11.02); Greene (11.11)
Mia: Brown (3.6); Williams (13.8)
Indy: Addai (4.3); Brown (7.12)
Tenn: C. Johnson (1.7); White (6.9)
Hou: Slaton (1.12); ????
Jax: MJD (1.4); Jennings (14.4)
Pit: Parker (5.2); Mendenhall (9.5)
Balt: McClain (7.12); McGahee (8.10); Rice (10.2)
Cin: Benson (6.11); ????
Clev: Lewis (7.7); ????
KC: Johnson (5.8); Charles (11.11)
Den: Moreno (4.12); Buckhalter (13.5); Torain (14.1)
SD: Tomlinson (1.9); Sproles (7.12)
Oak: McFadden (5.5); Fargus (13.1); Bush (13.5)
Phi: Westbrook (1.7); McCoy (10.4)
Dal: Barber (2.7); Jones (7.4); Choice (13.12)
NYG: Jacobs (2.5); Bradshaw (9.6)
Wash: Portis (2.4); Betts (14.6)
Det: Smith (3.12); Morris (14.8)
GB: Grant (3.7); Jackson (13.12)
Chic: Forte (1.3); Jones (14.5)
Min: Peterson (1.1); Taylor (10.7)
TB: Ward (5.3); Graham (10.2); Williams (12.7)
Atl: Turner (1.3); Norwood (13.1)
Car: Williams (1.10); Stewart (5.11)
NO: Bush (3.12); Thomas (4.1)
Ari: Wells (5.12); Hightower (7.12)
St.L: Jackson (1.6); ????
SF: Gore (2.2); Coffee (14.4)
Sea: Jones (8.5); ????

*???? = no b/u listed in the ADP

So what running games will you be trying to control?

Awesome thread Miller.

I think my 2 favorite handcuff situations based on value and price is both teams in NY.

Leon and Shonn

Ahmad Bradshaw.

Best handcuffs who don't need a major injury for them to become productive in my eyes.

Bradshaw is a nice one ER, I like his value. Another guy I love the value of is Norwood. With the wear and tear on Turner last year I think Norwood is a nice guy to stash and a must have for Turner owners.

I found it interesting that NO's backs are only one ADP apart. I suppose that might be tempting in a PPR as long as you had a flex spot and didn't pick a RB in rounds 1 or 2.

Also interesting that you could construct a complete starting roster and still lock down New England's entire backfield.

yeah it will be interesting to see if any of the NE backs gain favor with owners as the season nears.

NE: Maroney (11.8); Morris (12.5); Taylor (13.1) - Not as a handcuff but even though his age will keep his stock low he will outperform the other 2 w/ reduced carries

NYJ: Jones (5.3); Washington (11.02); Greene (11.11) - anticipated to replace Jones next year could have value this season if Washington holds out for any period of time

Indy: Addai (4.3); Brown (7.12) - would prefer he drop into the 8th but expect him to become the starter soon

Jax: MJD (1.4); Jennings (14.4) - This is not necessarily a handcuff pick but if you miss out on Taylor you may as well pick up his replacement in Jax who should play a similar role to what he did

Pit: Parker (5.2); Mendenhall (9.5) - If he slips he becomes a value worth considering, not sure how attractive he will be at his current location - not a bad pick here just not one that really grabs your attention

KC: Johnson (5.8); Charles (11.11) - If Johnson holds out I would expect him to start climbing and be out of range for serious consideration by me come draft day

Oak: McFadden (5.5); Fargus (13.1); Bush (13.5) - Expect this to change - when he climbs it may be out of range for serious consideration but right now a nice investment

Phi: Westbrook (1.7); McCoy (10.4) - I expect they will attempt to lighten Westies load immediately but any advancement in ADP may make him an afterthought - think after someone else picks him that you missed an opportunity

Dal: Barber (2.7); Jones (7.4); Choice (13.12) - Would seriously consider him as a RB3 would be rather nervous as RB2 forcing me to select an alternative quickly

Min: Peterson (1.1); Taylor (10.7) - If he remains the forgotten man this is about where I would consider him but would hold off expecting him to slip into at least the 11th

Car: Williams (1.10); Stewart (5.11) - I have been targetting him in mocks on the 5-6 round curve as a stand alone

NO: Bush (3.12); Thomas (4.1) - I personally can't see how he leapfrogged Stewart

I like Fred Jackson this year. He already gets to start the first 3 games of the season. If he shines for those games, Lynch might be riding the bench and spelling Jackson.

NE: Maroney (11.8); Morris (12.5); Taylor (13.1)
Won't touch any of these. In fact the ONLY NE rb I will get is Faulk....and only in a PPR situation.
Buff: Lynch (4.5); Jackson (9.10)
I would take a shot here...as I think Jackson will be viable throughout the year...and Lynch may end up elsewhere this year or next...high cost..but worth the price.
NYJ: Jones (5.3); Washington (11.02); Greene (11.11)
This one intrigues me. I think T.Jones in the 5th may be a steal. Washington has more value in PPR than in reg. scoring...but with Greene there I think Washington's value drops some.
Mia: Brown (3.6); Williams (13.8)
This one is tough. If Brown drops down to mid 3rd round or later...the value could be worth it. I am not sure Ricky still has value though.
Indy: Addai (4.3); Brown (7.12)
Won't touch this one. Addai any earlier than 5th is a waste since he can't stay healthy...and Brown was drafted to replace him anyway. I will look to take a lower round fllyer on Brown though...especially if I went Wr heavy early.
Tenn: C. Johnson (1.7); White (6.9)
YES! Both have value due to Tenn. awful pass game...and White TD vulturing.
Hou: Slaton (1.12); ????
great value at end of first round!
Jax: MJD (1.4); Jennings (14.4)
MJD is the value here...and at 1.4 is solid. Not sure Jennings is the handcuff though.
Pit: Parker (5.2); Mendenhall (9.5)
Yes, another great handcuff. Especially if you go Wr heavy in rounds 1-3.
Balt: McClain (7.12); McGahee (8.10); Rice (10.2)
Cin: Benson (6.11); ????
Clev: Lewis (7.7); ????
KC: Johnson (5.8); Charles (11.11)
Won't touch any of these...as it is just too murky and I don't see value. I also think Benson regresses this year. Just a gut feeling.
Den: Moreno (4.12); Buckhalter (13.5); Torain (14.1)
This one is dangerous. IF Moreno IS the back...you have this years Forte. If they rinse and repeat the NE rb usage....none have value really.
SD: Tomlinson (1.9); Sproles (7.12)
If I can get LT2 that late..I am buying. However, unless you have ppr scoring...I don't touch Sproles.
Oak: McFadden (5.5); Fargus (13.1); Bush (13.5)
won't touch...too much like NE and Baltimore.
Phi: Westbrook (1.7); McCoy (10.4)
Westbrook that low????? good grief. Yes on the value though.
Dal: Barber (2.7); Jones (7.4); Choice (13.12)
I won't touch this one. Barber is an injury waiting to happen, Jones won't survive being the main back..he has more value in PPr and special team scoring leagues. Choice I might make a later round flyer on ...as I think he takes over for Barber if hurt.
NYG: Jacobs (2.5); Bradshaw (9.6)
Not sure Bradshaw is the cuff...and I have seen Jacobs go lower than this.
Wash: Portis (2.4); Betts (14.6)
Det: Smith (3.12); Morris (14.8)
Won't waste pick to cuff...not sure I would waste that high a pick on Smith either. and I am HIGHER on Smith than most. Oline has issues.
GB: Grant (3.7); Jackson (13.12)
Won't cuff, since Jackson sucks IMO. Grant could fall later...and will be a steal if he does.
Chic: Forte (1.3); Jones (14.5)
Don't need the cuff...but if you can get him that late..not a bad value.
Min: Peterson (1.1); Taylor (10.7)
Not sure I am sold on Peterson being #1....but in standard scoring...yes I would do this.
TB: Ward (5.3); Graham (10.2); Williams (12.7)
This one is another rinse and repeat of Baltimore and NE again I think...will stay away from them unless I have to.
Atl: Turner (1.3); Norwood (13.1)
I am nervous on Turner...due to over use last year. I won't risk a high first on him. I may regret it...but gut tells me no way.
Car: Williams (1.10); Stewart (5.11)
STEAL!!
NO: Bush (3.12); Thomas (4.1)
In standard scoring...these two should be reversed...I would jump all over Thomas in the 4th.
Ari: Wells (5.12); Hightower (7.12)
This looks like a Tenn. opportunity here...but Arizona needs to commit more to the run.
St.L: Jackson (1.6); ????
SF: Gore (2.2); Coffee (14.4)
Sea: Jones (8.5); ????
Won't touch these unless I have to.
