Pre-Season Watch: LaDainian Tomlinson

Former(or is he) great RB now with the Jets. LT2 is now one of those guys that is a real bargain at this point in Drafts. The real question at this point is he worth the gamble on your squad? If Shone Green totally dominates he may not see enough action to really matter at all. A lot will depend on your leagues lineups, strictly 2 RBs then he is just a bye week filler. In Leagues with flexible lineups he could end up being very useful like an Ahmad Bradshaw, Tim Hightower or a Leon Washington.

We have all argued about him and his role with the Jets all off-season. Everything from he has lost a step to he might surprise every one behind a top-notch Jets O-line. This has all been done without any actual performance data but now the preseason starts and this thread is for those FF guys who actually find themselves watching a Jets pre-season game. It's not so much about the stats we can all look them up. How did the line look, was there holes there? Did he look sharp? Show some signs of burst? Did he look in-synch with the new O or not? Was he in the lineup in red zone situations?

Let's keep an eye out together and see if we can develop an Idea of how this RBBC is going to pan out..... We all get a look-see Monday Night.

Good point Coach...yeah as a Shonn Greene owner I'm very interested although there isn't much I can do about it at this point.

I'm guessing LT2 shows up as a change of pace back that hops and skips a few times before being stuffed. He might catch a few screens that go for big yards, but in general I'm not looking for anything spectacular. But as you said, it'll be more evident on Monday night.

I'm expecting LT to be a pleasent surprise for fantasy players. Not a stud mind you but as Coach said a legitimate flex option.

He certainly landed in a great spot to reduce his workload and have fun playing this season. Run first team, high powered defense, what more could a former STUD ask for in the twilight of his career? A nice paycheck for sure.
