PPR RB's to target rd 8+

So who are some sneaky ppr plays at RB this season? These are guys who you can get rd 8 or later that are more valuable sure to the ppr format.

Some guys that I like are:

  • Danny Woodhead - Matthews is underwhelming and Woodhead can be a weapon out of the backfield.
  • Jacuzzi Rodgers - Jackson is a more capable receiver than Turner was, but this guy is too dangerous not to get involved in the pressing game. Good value and could be a decent flex play at times.
  • LaMichael James - similar value to above, should have some decent games as a flex.
  • Ryan Williams - late rd flyer, I like his skill set, but can he stay healthy it's the question, being pushed by a couple rookies as well.
So who do you like to get you some extra value in pot leagues?

A guy like Ronnie Hillman could settle in nicely to a 3rd down role in Denver if things shake out right.

Johnathon Franklin in GB perhaps.

im with ya on hillman, recent surge has him in the 7th rd in ppr drafts, but still relevent here. 7/8 rd is good value for Denvers starting rb...

Not disagreeing with you, but he is the #1 rb as of now in Denver. Still lots of camp for Ball, but I think regardless, Hillman will be a big part of the offense.

His current ADP says a lot about how football fans are buying into that depth chart right now.

I think he will be a 3rd down back if Ball can do anything at all. 7th rd for him is probably too high in my opinion

I'm paying a little attention to Peyton Hillis.

Martin can't run every down and with Blount gone Hillis is being listed #2 on the depth chart. Not a lot of TE potential in TB either so a guy with hands like Hillis could find his way onto the field pretty regular.

He's not even listed in the top 67 RB's ADP so could be a last round nugget.

great post teckie, was thinking the same thing. he could be a sneaky addition. Hillis is great in the passing game.

In ppr Woodhead is solid.

in non-ppr I like Greene this year spelling C.J. He has a revamped Oline that seems to like to kick ass, and he is a down hill runner. Giving him some carries to protect C.J.
Pierce in Baltimore, I have gotten him as late as round 10, and he will be productive all season, not just if rice gets hurt.
Bilal Powel - Ivory already dinged up, and Mcknight is MIA with head issues.
Joseph Randle - Murray can't stay healthy, and Randle will fill in IMO.
Jonathan Franklin in GB as I think Lacy will get dinged up.
Ben Jarvis Green-Ellis - Love Bernard in Cincy, and he may get a lot of carries, but I think they want to pound the ball, and I think the Law Firm will get lots of carries also. I have seen this guy drop to round 10 and 11 in IBL

Packers | Eddie Lacy likely to see most carries Wed Aug 14, 12:22 PM
Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (hamstring) is likely to see the most carries when he is healthy, followed by fellow rookie RB Johnathan Franklin, who has reportedly been adequate, but not yet special, during training camp.
