Playoffs: Pats @ Broncos

To many bad breaks for the Bronco defense this season and too much bad luck suffered by Manning in the playoffs make this a hard game for me to call. Oh I'll pull for the Louisiana native to get his second ring but I'm not so sure. I'll hold off on making my prediction until I get more news on Brady.

Tom Terrific was missing from practice in the portion that is opened for reporters today with no explanation given. (Imagine that). His press conference scheduled for this afternoon has been delayed until Friday with no explanation given (Imagine that). Likely a case of the Pats playing fast and lose once again but something to keep an ear out for. Tom has been listed with a shoulder injury for weeks now and perhaps it's taken a turn for the worse. For now I can certainly hope so.

I think Denver pulls it out, don't know why, just do.

I think they lose in the Superbowl though...

I'm with phic.....I just don't think NE is good enough to go on the road this year and best a team like Denver. Give me the Broncos, 30 - 17

I honestly think its a toss up. I know this will sound crazy but I think the RB position will decide who wins the game

I'm going to hang my hat on the theory that Manning is running out of chances and will not choke this week. I'm far from confident because Bill usually finds away but give me the home team here. I can't go with two road dogs. Denver advances.

Denver opened as a 5 point favorite out in the desert and you can still find them at that with a little shopping around but the $$ going on the Broncos have widely pushed the line up to 6 points.

I got today off for the games at the last second... Really thinking epic matchups today, despite that i may kinda dislike all of them... the coaches except fox, the qbs except maybe wilson, etc... Its pretty undeniable that belly is probably on the very short list of best all time... With or without spygate, I believe he is one playoff win away from tying Landry, and already has tied Shula. Shula(19-17) and Landry(20-16) are nowhere near Belichick's (19-8) win percentage either, in fact the only coaches on the all time list that's close is Lombardi who was 9-1, Noll from Steel Curtain days at 16-8, and Gibbs at 17-7 (Both Harbaughs are off to great starts however... at 9-4 for John and 5-2 for Jim). Harbaugh is the perfect kind of crazy, and it's pretty amazing to make 3 straight NFC Championships in his first three years. Carroll must be doing something right... That Cali attitude must be playing well on the west coast, and he does appear to have a knack for using defensive personnel efficiently... A lot to watch this weekend!!
