Bears sign LB James Anderson... legit badass... has definitely been on my fantasy teams... and a HUGE upgrade... oh, and Bears als signed OT Jonathan Scott... Signs point to the possible end of human hamburger JaMarcus Webb

Yes I must say I've never in my life seen a Bears GM actually make good moves... it's kinda scary he keeps doing it

Not to rain on your parade, but here is what rotoworld had to say about the Anderson signing:

For now at least, he'll replace Nick Roach at strong-side linebacker, with D.J. Williams in the middle and Lance Briggs continuing to hold down the weak side. Anderson, 29, was a March salary cap casualty after back-to-back brutal seasons in Carolina, particularly as a run defender. Bears GM Phil Emery should continue to add talent at linebacker via April's draft.

James Anderson's past two years:

2011: 145 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries, 2 INT... ('10/'11 were his best years arguably... '08/'09 arent great)
2012: 74 tackles in 12 games... so no, not so great, on an absolutely brutal defense...

Nick Roach past two years:

2011: 38 tackles in 16 games
2012: 66 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 fumble forced and 1 recovered in 16 games

So even at anderson's worst and in 12 games he's better than roach in 16 games. now roach also has a history of playing all 16 games where Anderson doesnt necessarily... i didnt watch too many panther games over the year. sAnderson entering his 8th year, roach his 7th. Anderson entering a solid defensive unit, and probably only playing 1-2 downs at a time...
