NFC East - Eagles win, but win ugly, not much better, Dallas loses, but Randle has appeared at last and Weeden was servicable, Giants win....is this a repeat of thier last superbowl run???? Nope. Redskins lose, yeah no big surprise, but M.Jones wasn't as prevelent. Net, this division won't be won, its who won't do too much to lose it.
NFC North - GB still to play, Detroit still can't win, Minnesota makes a statement thanks to AP, Chicago looks absolutely awful and you heard it here first, they will clamor for Cutler to be back. Green bay looks like the solid division winner, and Minny could WC.
NFC South - Wow, just WOW! Carolina AND Atlanta are undefeated. Yikes. Both playing well enough to win, but ATL still has defensive issues, and Carolina is piecing an offense together. Still 3-0 is 3-0. Tampa looks to be jeckyl and hyde this year which isn't surprising considering Rookie Qb and youth on both sides of ball. New Orleans is bad, but no Brees makes them awful. Thank God for Ingram.
NFC West - Rams and 49ers are bad, both flash, but can't hold it up long. Arizona looks absolutely dominant both on off. with an incredibly hot Carson Palmer and defense with great Dbs. If they can stay healthy...... Seattle finally wins, but still a work in progress. Lynch may be banged up, but Rawls looked great backing him up. thus the trade away of Michaels.
AFC East - N.E. dominant, Buffalo back in the win column(nice bounce back win), Miami still looks very, very bad, and Jets lose to a must win Eagles team. Jets could be better if they weren't so banged up and had a Qb that could push a win through.
AFC North - Bengals 3-0 all alone on top. Baltimore can't buy a win, and I still think Steve Smith has found the fountain of youth. Pittsburgh was able to survive Bell being suspended only to lose Big Ben for at least 4-6 weeks, and maybe longer YIKES! Cleveland just sucks. Start Manziel guys, you have no hope otherwise. You don't have any then either, but at least when you cut ties with Manziel you can say why.
AFC South - Hmmm..all four teams at 1-2. Of that here is what I think teams can take out of it.... First Mariota is gonna be solid, just a solid choice for Tenn. IF they can get him some real tools at Rb, and Wr he will rock. Luck just seems to switch off at times, I think he is getting gun shy, they have to fix that O-line. Jax is young and needs to learn, if they can get to 0.500 they should be happy. Houston....has to plan for future, find a replacement for Foster, another Wr to help Hopkins and then fix the O-line. OH... A QB would be nice too.
AFC West - Well Denver ain't dead...defense has been spectacular, and Manning can do just enough. Run game is just putrid though. Don't look now, but Oakland has hope! Young Qb is blossoming, Rookie Wr is rocking it out, Retread Wr Crabtree is contributing, and Murray is doing well at Rb. They will win some they should not, but still lose some that they should win. Young team but promising. KC needs a signature win to turn this thing around and a statement win vs. top NFC team could do it. Lets see what happens. SD just seems off. Def. not that good, K.Allen is back and rookie Rb is solid, but Rivers is getting killed.
Guys to watch -
Karlos Williams Rb Buf - yes they have McCoy, and paid him lots of money - but this kid is the goal line back, and he will get touches as McCoy fights off hammy issues all year.
Travis Benjamin - kid flashed year in and year out, finally looks to be key to off. Plus gets return yards if your league uses them.
Wrs in Miami - they will have to throw alot, due to being behind alot - Rishard Matthews looks like the real deal deep threat for this team, at least til Parker can play. Jarvis Landry is the security blanket in PPR that means gold.
Andre Johnson is not worth keeping, but Moncrief is....and Dorsett will get more as season goes forward. But Moncrief looks really, really good.
Freeman showed Atl can run, Coleman will miss at least one or two more weeks, and Freeman can establish himself with games like last week.
R.Matthews if he can stay healthy, will make the running game in Philly work....but will they use him properly?
