Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez has excelled more in man coverage while Rob Gronkowski has played well against zone defenses. The Jets, whom the Pats play Monday Night Week 13, typically employ creative blitzing schemes which left the former Gator in man coverage with defensive backs during the Week 2 matchup when the rookie posted six catches for 101 yards. Fellow TE Rob Gronkowski, who has stolen Hernandez's thunder recently, tends to excel in zone coverage.
Hernandez might be a sneaky play this week. Tough call, as he hasn't been on the field all that much snapwise. But as crappy as TE production has been as a whole this year he may be worth a try this week.
