Veteran safety Rodney Harrison is hanging up the spikes and heading to the TV studios at NBC to begin a career in broadcasting, according to the Boston Globe. Harrison played 15 seasons in the NFL, the final six with the Patriots.

Bob Raissman, of the New York Daily News, reports former Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy has inked a deal to join NBC's Sunday 'Football Night in America' pregame team, according to industry sources.

Our view: Dungy is expected to replace Jerome Bettis. At least NBC is not trying to jam pack another analyst into an already over-stuffed studio.
