  • -- Aaron Rodgers Excels in First Year as Starter --
    Mon Jul 13, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The Sporting News reports in his first season as a stater, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 4,038 yards and 28 TDs while tossing just 13 interceptions. He also had four 300-yard games. Rodgers did this while playing with a shoulder injury.
  • -- Greg Jennings a Big Play WR --
    Mon Jul 13, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The Sporting News reports Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings caught 80 passes for 1,292 yards and nine TDs in 2008. He led the NFL with eight receptions of 40 yards or more and ranked second in the league with 21 receptions of 20 yards. But health a minor concern for Jennings, who missed eight games over the previous two seasons.
  • -- Ryan Grant Entering Camp as Unchallenged Starter --
    Mon Jul 13, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The Sporting News reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant ran for 1,203 yards but just four TDs and averaged an uninspiring 3.9 yards per carry in 2008. Grant didn't show the same burst as he did in 2007 until late in the season, when he tallied 327 rushing yards, 83 receiving yards and 2 TDs in Green Bay's final four games. Despite his somewhat disappointing numbers, Grant has practically no competition as the team's lead ball carrier.
  • -- Donald Lee to be Pushed --
    Mon Jul 13, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The Sporting News reports Green Bay Packers starting TE Donald Lee had just 39 receptions for 303 yards in 2008 and quickly became an afterthought in the offense. Lee never had more than 50 yards in a single game. He did score five TDs, and he has 11 TDs over the past two seasons. Second-year TE Jermichael Finley is expected to push Lee in camp.
  • -- Brandon Jackson an Effective Change-of-Pace RB --
    Mon Jul 13, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The Sporting News reports Green Bay Packers RB Brandon Jackson is the consummate change-of-pace back for starting RB Ryan Grant. Jackson averaged 5.5 yards per carry and hauled in 30 receptions for 185 yards, but he's too fragile to be hailed as an every-down back. He'll also get competition from RB DeShawn Wynn and perhaps undrafted rookie RB Tyrell Sutton in training camp.
  • -- Packers No. 3 WR Competition --
    Mon Jul 13, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The Sporting News reports WR Jordy Nelson and WR James Jones will compete for the Green Bay Packers' No. 3 wide receiver job. Nelson managed 33 receptions and 366 yards as a rookie and showed a rapport with QB Aaron Rodgers at times. Jones drew comparisons to WR Sterling Sharpe upon his arrival in Green Bay in 2007. But Jones hasn't been healthy long enough to get a true read on. He's averaged 14.2 yards per reception through two seasons, and he displayed that big-play ability with a four-catch, 132-yard performance against Jacksonville in Week 15.
  • -- Mason Crosby Expected to Retain Job --
    Mon Jul 13, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The Sporting News reports Green Bay Packers PK Mason Crosby connected on less than 80 percent of his attempts for the second-straight season, and he missed two potential game-winners ini 2008. Thus, he'll have competition in training camp this summer. Crosby, however, likely will win retain his job.
-- Jermichael Finley a Downfield Presence --
Mon Jul 13, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The Sporting News reports Green Bay Packers TE Jermichael Finley (6-5, 247) could be the type of downfield presence that the team has lacked since TE Mark Chmura and TE Keith Jackson

Detroit will finish ahead of the Packers in the division standings this season. As will Minnesota and Chicago. :)

GB and Seattle are the 2 most likely teams with losing records last year to make the playoffs this year

Usually there are 3 teams with losing records the previous year that make the playoffs.

That only leaves 1 other spot
