Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (ankle) said he probably would be limited during the offseason workouts this offseason if a new collective bargaining agreement were reached before workouts started, reports Lori Nickel, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Grant also said the offseason workout are more for developing players.

I remember him saying he was healthy enough to play in the Super Bowl, if he wasn't on IR.

LESSON: Never listen to players determine their health.

So True, I have come to regard the players themselves as the worst source of injury intel!

A little over a week after what he said at the top of this thread he is now awesome again. ;)

Now fully recovered from September surgery on his ankle, Ryan Grant insists he feels "awesome" physically.

I predict Starks is the guy to have in Green Bay this year. It might start out Grant but it will finish with Starks. (just an opinion)

More positivity from Grant.

Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (ankle) said Tuesday, April 5, that he could play right now if necessary, reports Mike Vandermause, of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Grant said he would be ready for training camp, and that he can't wait to hit the field again. Grant was lost for the season in Week 1 of the 2010 season due to a torn ligament in his ankle that required surgery. Grant is making nice progress in returning to his pre-injury form and should once again be considered a solid No. 2 running back option in fantasy leagues. He has some nice upside but will also have some competition for carries from the other Green Bay running backs that carried the load in his absence last year

It's funny that Grants assessment of his own condition has flip flopped completely just recently. Grant went from thinking if there is camp maybe I will use my injury to take it easy. Then probably thought better of the decision based on the fact that Starks and others would get all the camp repetitions and now is suddenly Gung Ho
again.
