Packers in talks with Panthers for Williams

Oh you just know he's pushing for this trade. To go from loser Carolina to GB a contender team. Bet his bags are already packed and ready and he's standing with 1 foot already out the door. LOL

Sometimes opportunity forgets to knock.... at which time someones needs to ring the doorbell :)

he is one hell of a RB. I hope he gets there. If he does its a potential Super Bowl winning trade.

Just read a report that the Bills are not planning on moving Marshawn Lynch before the trade deadline. Of course, you can't trust anything about the Bills. But if that is really the case, I think that might increase the probability of Williams going to the Pack. Thoughts?

Couldnt hurt the chances at all, though Im surprised the Bills wont part with Meshawn.....

That could be because they want to move Fred Jackson.

That would make more sense as far as their team moving forward. Lynch is a better contrast to Spiller. Jackson is older and is a similar back to CJ.

Jackson to the Pack would make sense............

Grants contract should be up in 2011.

If they are satisfied with Grant Id say we see them make the one year trade for Jackson.

If not, they move on D Will

From Rotowire,

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are "unavailable" as the October 19 trade deadline approaches.
According to Schefter, "at least" two teams have called the Panthers recently about Williams, but the overtures were rebuffed. Stewart, cheaply under contract through 2012, definitely isn't going anywhere. Williams is in a contract year and would be the more likely of the two to be dealt, but it sounds like Carolina isn't even willing to listen to offers.

DWill is going to escape after the season, and will be pretty fresh once 2012 comes and the lockout is over.
