BRISTOL, Conn. (AP)—Bill Parcells is no longer affiliated with the Miami Dolphins and will tape a draft special for ESPN.

Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said Thursday “he’s not associated with the team anymore in any official capacity.”

Parcells turned control of Miami’s football operations over to general manager Jeff Ireland shortly before last season.

He later cleaned out his office and stopped working at the Dolphins’ complex, but still served as a consultant. Parcells was hired in Miami after the 2007 season.

Parcells is scheduled to tape a 90-minute special about the inner workings of the draft next month. ESPN says that “is all that’s planned at this time” for Parcells.

Parcells worked as a studio analyst for ESPN in 2001-02 and 2007 between NFL jobs.

Not really suprised. Maybe he has lost his passion and just wants to work in the booth/studio. He worked wonders in NY and NE , not so much in Miami. With his knowledge of the game, i'd like to see him in the studio.

Looking forward to the 90-minute special about the draft. Should be interesting with his experience and knowledge.

Yeah me too. Be interesting to hear what he has to say. Also keep an eye out for Urban Meyer. He's doing some tour around the country visiting a few college football teams. Cant remember which ones but do know hes going to Texas and Utah.
