It's not like he hasn't played well enough to be a Superbowl winner though. Clearly a better QB than the $98 Million Dollar Manning. (in my humble opinion of cource )

It's very possible that Merriman may be off the books in 2010 and L.T. will be off shortly after that.

The way things are progressing, his salary may look like a bargain 3-4 years from now.
