Owen Daniels resigns with Houston

Texans TE Owen Daniels, whose production has nosedived since suffering an ACL injury in 2009, reached a contract agreement with Houston today, according to the Houston Chronicle’s John McClain.

Assuming Daniels is healthy now, he’s still a big part of Houston’s offense, even though the Texans have a glut of TEs on the roster now.

I really like this signing. Its a 4 year contract worth 22million. I think Daniels can be back to pre-injury form after this offseason. (I'm thinking positive about a new CBA here) This guy really makes the Houston Passing Offense tough to beat.

Wow...The headline really threw me of:

"Daniels resigns with Houston"....I thought he had quit!....LOL

Daniels "Re-Signs" with Houston makes much more sense and is much better news.

i agree . . . surprised the texans were looking at te's at the combine though . . . lol . . . we've got more than enough at that position . . .

I think it was more of a "we can move on from Owen if we need to" kind of thing. Daniels isn't the best blocking TE, but what he does for the passing game makes up for it.
