Can the Bengals really afford to toss out linemen willy-nilly? This puts a frown on Cedric's and my faces.

He can't stay healthy. Point blank it was their plan all along to lose him if they got one of the top 3 tackles. They have guys who can play outside...the real weakness was at Center. Hopefully Luigs can solve that.

My understanding is that he is currently healthy though if he participated in camp. What was the hit Cincy would have taken keeping him on the roster?

If he were to have been traded, that team would've had to assume the $16.5 million in non-guaranteed base salaries remaining on the final four years of his contract.

no surprise here. I like Levi, but injuries have robbed him of a lot. I wish him the best and hope he can rebound somewhere, but I do think it's best they let him move on. He wanted out, he got his wish....

I'm silently praying Pittsburgh scoops him up and inserts him into Larry Foote's vacant salary cap slot. This would serve 2 purposes.
First, he would instantly become the starting right tackle, if not the left tackle and make a decent bookend with Max Starks.
Second, he could compromise some of Cincy's blocking schemes to LeBeau so we can "accidentally" send someone in to snap Carson's leg again.

:)

Redzone reporting Denver is interested - but wants him as a back up to Clady. Did mention Buffalo and Detroit as options since he wants an opportunity to start.

Actually, if he could stay healthy, he would be a great fit for Detroit or Buffalo
