They cut ties with the OC Shanahan.

I mean come on. They both suck so it was a magical situation.

On a side note this will make life even harder for Johnny Douche having to learn a new offence when he's not known for his hard work.

To me, this is a classic case of an organization looking to lay blame on someone, to protect the pick. Manziel should not have been drafted in the first round, so they fire the OC and the Qb coach to blame his lack of development. Nothing to do at all with all the partying and lack of effort put out.

Sheesh, what a circus

Ummm, are you forgetting that you're talking about the Browns? They have been a dumpster fire of historic proportions since the 80's.

Semantics at this point, but Shanahan (OC) asked for his release (quit). The QB coach did get canned, though. And it's the Browns, their front office is historic bad. Manziel is worthless at the NFL level, and I think 31 other franchises see that now. He better hope Cleveland sticks with him, I don't see anyone else signing him with the media circus and lack of effort he brings.

I heard Shanahan was trying to force his way out. Next season will be rough for the Browns since the division they play in is tough and they also play the AFC and NFC west. Which means coaches will be fired since they will have a terrible record. Shanahan saw that plus how bad manziel looked and decided it was best to leave now so he can be reunited with his dad when he lands one of these head coaching gigs.

one rumor had Shanahan tailing his dad. With his dad taking a GM kind of gig, and then having his son as HC. Again, this was only rumor, but interesting one.
