In an effort to steer this back to the topic of the day, I will say that the new NFLPA head has probably enjoyed a pickled hard-boiled egg at the bar once or twice in his life, based on his attitude..

They wanted a lawyer for negotiations. Once its done cant they just fire him and bring in someone else?

Im honestly not familiar with NFLPA bylaws. Miller swore to me I had a signed contract with the Raiders last year, but I still havent seen my cut of the green.

Usually, the guy that the Union chief will always be fighting with or negotiating with is also a lawyer.
Why would you want to introduce THAT dynamic if you're an NFL Team's player rep?

I think between this guy and our new commish negotiations could become uglier than what the league has seen for quite some time.

Players are going to be playing hard ball in these negotiations. They have dealt with years and years of having a Gene Upshaw, who regularly caved to the owners. Things appear to be different now. The players want more, and will push hard to get it. Previously, the players bowed down to the owners (again, due to Gene Upshaw), and they regretted it.

This could be an ugly time for the NFL if cooler heads don't prevail.
