Oakland clears road for Zach Miller to leave town

Because the Raiders gave contract extensions to CB Stanford Routt and Richard Seymour and placed the franchise tag on LB Kamerion Wimbley, signs point to TE Zach Miller being allowed to leave as a free agent. Miller said earlier this offseason that he wanted to remain with the Raiders, but Oakland has not committed to him as of yet. He is officially a free agent as of March 4, though the terms of such will depend on the league's new CBA.

Miller's value will go way up if he goes to a team with a real QB

He already does well in Oakland..and who knows...they could end up with a decent QB this season.

Seems like the Raiders have let a few pieces from a team that is improving away, Miller, Cable, possibly Bush. I don't understand, I could see if they had a viable option behind Miller(similar to Graham in NO) but they do not. Oh well, so is the luck of being a Raider fan.
