NYJets RB Shonn Green is expected to carry a heavy load

Running back Shonn Greene is under the impression that he will be the centerpiece of the Jets' offense in 2012, according to the New York Times. The Jets are expected to use a run-heavy offense under new coordinator Tony Sparano, and Greene will surpass his career season high in carries, which is currently 253 (2011). Greenes stock will still take a hit by his low involvement in the passing game, but should post good enough numbers to be an asset as a No. 2 back for fantasy owners in 2012.

I hope things work out like that. He wouldn't be my #2 as I usually get 2 in the first two rounds. If he was still around in the 3rd round and I drafted just 1RB then I would consider him my #2 RB. I think he will have a pretty good year this season. we'll see

I believe hes been drafted as a bottom of first last two season and been killing his owners. I wouldn't touch him till bottom second this year.

Man, I would love to trust Green, as I think the Jets will focus on run more. But I just don't trust him, he seems to just go flat half way through the season. I am curious who is the #2 now that LT2 is gone.

I see Greene as a 3rd to 4th round value that will likely be drafted a round or two ahead of where he should be.

I care very little for his game. When their line was at their peak a few years ago he looked good (cough/RonDayne/cough).

Bring on McKnight, por favor.

Didn't he come into the offseason program looking like Ron Dayne after a winter of the Ronald McDonalds diet plan?

Depends on what you read. People think he ate McD's - got fat. Others report he packed on 15 pounds of muscle and McD's was part of his diet. Either way he relayed it to the media in jest... and I haven't read anything about coaches being mad, or saying anything for that matter. I'm not concerned.
