He left camp for Houston this morning.

Wants a new contract.

They basically said F off. Not going to negotiate.

I believe that he is in a good position. They have crap without him. Hes the majority of the offense and he knows it

The guy has proven studly with trash at QB but the more time he spends away from the new QB..... I'm scurred. I'll be letting someone else take this risk at the current ADP most likely.

Coming at you
Way better ways to handle this than packing up and going home. They gave Watt an extension with two years left, so with proper negotiating tactics, they could probably work something out. Now you have drawn a line in the sand. Not always the best approach.

I get that everyone wants to be paid on their current production and that he has outperformed his contract, but blame the union, have another monster season and you will be swimming in cash next year.

I get it, but agreed this is the wrong tactic to take. Don't think management will buckle with two years left.

yeah, he has a roster bonus of $400K that he loses if he is on the DNR list - which he is now on. Plus he loses $40K every day missed, and team won't negotiate. It was a losing move by him.

I'm a Texans fan...

That entire offense has been on a different DNR list for years.
