North Texas fires Dodge

North Texas has fired Todd Dodge after a 1-6 start this year. Dodge came from 5A Texas power Southlake Carrol, where he amassed a 79-1 record. The magic never transferred, as Dodge compiled a 6-37 record at UNT, the worst in school history percentage wise, after taking over a team coming off four consecutive Sun Belt championships.

Not to defend Dodge, but I believe North Texas has lost 14 starters this year to injuries. Saturday they will start their #4 QB.

What North Texas did to Dickey, firing him right after a heart attack when hed won four conference titles was shitty. I think that got Dodge a year longer than he probably deserved.

Another big loser is his son Riley, who turned down a full ride to Texas, where he would likely be the starter now, to play for his dad.

A VERY interesting name coming up in the early coaching search rumors.... Former USF front man Jim Leavett.
