The two seventh round compensatory draft picks awarded to the 49ers on Friday give them 12 selections in next month's draft, more than any other team. Analysis: The picks were compensation for losing RT Tony Pashos and WR Arnaz Battle in free agency last offseason. In all, 32 total picks were awarded, with 23 teams getting at least one pick. As compensation for Julius Peppers, the Panthers were the only team to receive a third-round pick. Compensatory picks cannot be traded.

Would you look at that, the Niners are resplendent with picks! :sunshine:

Well, having a ton of picks in the 5th, 6th and 7th round isn't that exciting of a prospect to me. They have a pick in each of the first 3 and then 2 4ths. 7 picks in rounds 5-7. I would be thrilled if they got one player who makes a decent contribution in those later picks.

And they will win the divison, assuming there is football. 10-6 or 11-7 depending on how the negotiations work out. Put it on the board! :pickle:

Win the division really? Gonna be better than Bradfords Rams or Carrolls Seahawks ? Might be an interesting division ......finally..... next season or the next or the next. Hey i'm being optimistic here. lol
