Anthony Davis has been working with the first-team offense over the past few days, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Analysis: Davis, who doesn't even turn 21 years old until October, changed his eating habits upon joining the 49ers, replacing red meat with more fish and chicken and eliminating fried foods. He described himself as being in the "best shape I've ever been in." There's a real chance he opens the year as San Francisco's starting right tackle.

I would hope so. He is replacing Adam Snyder, who may not even make the team, although his ability to play several positions (none well) may help. They drafted Davis and Iupati to play NOW, so I would be much more surprised if they weren't in the starting lineup on opening day..........
