NFL's Most Elusive Running Backs

Pro Football Focus used a formula taking into account missed tackles and yards gained after contact. By elusive I don't mean the quickest backs or the ones with the shiftiest cuts but rather the backs that break tackles and get you the yards after contact. Since the 2009 season here are the best RB's at doing exactly that for your fantasy team.

1- Jonathan Stewart
2- Fred Jackson
3- Michael Turner
4- Adrian Peterson
5- Marshawn Lynch

Does any of the top 5 surprise you? This is a huge reason why these guys are so good. Stewart at the top of the list kind of snuck up on me.

Lynch is surprising to me, as I see him more as a mauler type not an elusive guy.

I've always wondered what Stewart could do if he was a feature back. He has great size and nearly averages 5 ypc.Williams the same thing. One of the Panthers needs to be traded so we can see them both shine

Elusive just doesn't seem to match the formula. Seems like more of a YAContact rating and given that, the ratings don't shock me much. Stewart is very talented and a tough to being down on first contact. Need to wear your big boy pads to bring any of these guys down.
