NFL wants HGH testing.

The NFL believes now is the time to include human growth hormone testing in its banned substances policy and is pushing players to add it to a collective bargaining agreement -- whenever one is reached.

Why??? (My growth has been out, not up :nonoblue: )

This is opening pandora's box. I really dont think the owners want their star players who sell the tickets being tested for a substance that puts them back on the field faster. EJ Henderson's career is probably over without HGH.

So true. Alot of players careers would probably be over right now w/o it. Definitly wouldnt have had the Favre drama for as long as we did.

hmmm, pandora's box indeed . . . this should push the players to definitely want a retirement plan included.

He likely would have never had a streak like he did without it.

Thats hard to say. He might have been better knowing he couldnt rely on getting a shot to make him able to play again. Thru all his dramatics, i still do think he is one of the greatest of all times. Too bad he tarnished his stats/name by playing 1 season too long.

You have to take into account the severe injuries he overcame. HGH can do that for you.

Now that said, I only think the NFL brought this up right now because it can make the players look horrible if they fight it.

Or maybe they bring it up now because players are wanting long-term medical coverage. Performance enhancing drugs could make that pretty costly down the line.

Getting into 40 car wrecks every Sunday can do the same thing.

No doubt, and we've seen many sad cases of ex players that makes a case for long term coverage. I'm all for it.
I also couldn't blame the league for applying extra scrutiny to positively tested drug users.

Now I could go along with that one for sure. Id already have to challenge JaMarcus Russell's benefits.
