Here is a projected first round by Rob Rang. Sometimes it's nice to see a whole round projected as media seems to hype the top picks over and over.

CBS Sportsline guy.

Keep an eye on Offensive Tackles this year. From what I am reading 1/2 the teams could use one and only 1/2 that many OTs are considered starter ready.

I think you are on target there Coach!

Just as the winning teams are using a combination of WR's and RB's with a stellar QB, so to must the other teams attempt to reciprocate. The obvious reaction would be to draft more high end wr's and rb's, but wait!
These teams that are winning this way have the real formula in place.
The Offensive Line. They're not risking their future on one great skill player that isn't a QB.

I look for one of the better teams with limited O/L issues to get one or two great WR's in this draft.
Both Mannings, the Pats and the Steelers have proved you don't need to take too much of a risk on WR, or RB.

teams that stay in the top ten of the draft season after season are more apt to break from that behavior after drafting defense. and O/L. The Niners are proof. Alex Smith couldn't save the franchise until the other parts came together.
Toss in Vernon Davis and his 'bust' status, and you can see what I mean.

Sure, Alex Smith had a 'rebirth' which enabled Vernon Davis to have his, but they had been there together for how long?
I seriously doubt anyone believes Smith was crucial to 2011, yet he was a number 1 pick. Davis wasn't integral either, but was a top 5 pick.

don't get me wrong, Davis may be the most dangerous receiver in the game. But he's not what made the team finally click.

If Randle makes it to the Raven's spot, they may take him there, but either Hightower or Upshaw is the more likely pick, regardless, where ever he ends up he will produce much higher than his selection spot.

Used to read some of Rang's stuff back when he was a cub reporter in Seattle. Now I avoid him. He's a complete airhead. Total waste of oxygen that should be sterilized to prevent the spread of his DNA. Maybe we are lucky and he is Gay

I remember when the first WR selected was Donnie Avery.
in the second round.
a couple of the wr's drafted after him have done ok -

Jordy Nelson, Eddie Royal, Pierre Garcon, DeSean Jackson, Stevie Johnson
just to name a few.

Mario Manningham, SB hero was in that draft, too.

I think when it comes to wr's, very few teams know what they are doing.
