News from the courts on Vilma et al is coming in early August.

Brandon Tate opened Bengals training camp as the starting receiver opposite A.J. Green.

Peyton Hillis "took turns" with Jamaal Charles as the featured running back as the Chiefs opened training camp on Friday.

Reports are that Mike Wallace turned down a contract wort $50M over 5 years.

Stevan Ridley has thus far lined up primarily as the #1 RB in camp for the Pats.

Mike Wallace is now the subject of trade rumors.

Leonard Hankerson worked with the first-team offense at flanker during Friday's training camp practice.

Brian Hartline opened camp working with the second team.

Mark Ingram's reps are being limeted in the early going at camp.

Coach Mike Shanahan conceded after Friday's training camp practice that Tim Hightower reconstructed left knee is "not close to 100 percent."

Steelers signed WR Antonio Brown to a five-year, $42.5 million extension through 2017. That's bad news for one Mike Wallace who can forget getting a long term deal now from the Steelers. This could be key information here.

Arrelious Benn will miss four weeks with a sprained right MCL suffered in Friday's training camp practice.

The Jags have placed MJD on the reserve/did not report list.

Hartline was seen working with trainers on the sideline and has not recovered from his June surgery. This explains, a bit, why he was running with the second team yesterday.

Mike Lshoure has suffered a hamstring injury on the second day of training camp. How bad it is has not been annouced yet. Itnitial reports seem to paint it as presumed minor but additional details were promised as they became available.

Yesterday afternoon's practice in New Orleans was moved indoors due to storms in the area. When the players walked inside the practice facility they were greeted by a giant picture of their beleagered and suspended head coach. Reporters there say that the picture of Sean staring down at the practice field seemed to bond the players together. Underneath the picture were the words DO YOUR JOB. A phrase Peyton was known to have used in the Big Easy.

WR Sidney Rice has been removed from the active/PUP list. I guess I'm showing my football ignorance here but why do fantasy players still believe in this guy?

LaRon Landry (Achilles) says he's 100 percent healthy. He did participate in the Jets first practice today. I'm surprised to read this. I didn't think he'd ever be healthy again.

Steelers ownership has called for a run based offense this season and that may not be good news for fantasy stats in the Steel City. In opening practice today every single play called was a running play. Whoever heard of such nonsense? This makes no sense at all because the Steelers talents on offense go through the air, even minus Wallace. Mendy is on the mend. Why do owners fill the need to mess up a good thing?

Detroit is making every effort they can to convert WR/KR Stefan Logan to RB. He's worked only with the RB's thus far in camp. Whether this is because they know he can't cut it with them at receiver or because they're more than a little bit worried about their MASH RB's is the question.

Eagles WR Riley Cooper has a fractured left collarbone and can be considered doubtful for week 1. He's only their 4 but this opens the job up for others to make a push.

Mendenhall is running straight ahead quite nicely now but is unable to make cuts and remains doubtful for the first six weeks of the season.

Brady says that Brandon Lloyd has already mostly mastered the Pats' playbook.

Hello Ocho! Lloyd is ranked in the top 10 fantasy WR's on all lists that I've seen.
