New Orleans Saints WR Lance Moore has been playing "fantastic" lately for the team, according to Saints WRs coach Curtis Johnson, reports Les East, of The Advocate. Moore has been healthy during training camp and seeing extra work due to injuries at the receiver position. "When he's healthy, he plays fantastic. He's healthy and he's playing fantastic now. I think he really took care of himself this offseason and golly, boy, he's playing well so far," Johnson said. Moore said it has been a long time since he has felt as good as he does right now.
OK, not the news we actually wanted to hear, except for Moore owners in Dynasty leagues of course! But it is true, this excerpt is totally consistent with everything I have been reading about OTAs and Training Camp so far. Last year with Moore essentially out of the picture the Saints passing production was compressed into a nicely structured patte(r)n for fantasy football owners. This year Moore might really throw a monkey wrench into what we think we know about the Saints passing game. He is potentially that good. News like this now makes the Saints WR production potentially harder to figure out than The Colts WR corp which has drafters scratching their heads already. :hmmm:
