Jag's GM Gene Smith states that even though MJD has made it clear that he wants a new deal, it isn't going to happen. Jones has 2 years remaining on his deal and Smith says they expect him to honor his commitment. It's not a surprise that after a career year in which MJD led the league in rushing he'd like to get a pay increase as he now makes a third of what C Johnson makes, half of what Foster makes, and slightly over what Lynch brings to the bank. Stephen Jackson, DeAngelo Williams, and AP also bring home more coin than MJD. Thus far MJD has skipped every team workout and is not promising to be at the teams upcoming mandatory mini-camp which could lead to his being fined up to $60K. IMO this is a situation that bares watching as drafts start taking place.
