UCLA football: Here’s one high school quarterback who’s waiting to be a Bruin - UCLA : The Orange County Register
He threw for 1,621 yards and 13 touchdowns this past season (as a junior) and said he’s heard from coaches at Penn State, Maryland, South Carolina and Virginia, though none have yet to offer a scholarship.
What he wants is an offer from UCLA. He thinks it will eventually come.
“I would love to play for my dad,” Jerry Neuheisel told the publication, obviously referring to UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel. “I would love to be there when they get that Rose Bowl win. Right now, I’m pretty sure UCLA will offer me soon.”
Jerry Neuheisel, who plays at Loyola, went on to say that once he does get an offer from UCLA, it won’t matter what the other colleges have to say. His mind will have already been made up.
I have some friends who coached him when he played for the Junior Wolverines when he lived in Bellevue. They say he was the real deal back then.
