:wow:
I cannot belive you got Witten in the 6th round....Winslow dropping to 11th is shocking to me as well. Nice job getting Breaston to cover Boldin if necessary. Nice job of the late Greene pick if Jones holds out or is dealt as well. Hmm...Moreno in the 7th? I thought he would go higher after all the other talk of him being the Denver back. I am somewhat suprised Forte was there at 1.6 too.

Overall, very nice team!

To be honest, I felt the same as you Phic. I found myself like "let's see who's still available at TE, HOLY CRAP WITTEN IN THE 6TH ROUND??" That's how much of the draft went for most positions later in the draft.

The guys in this mock stayed clear away from rookies. Everyone except for me, obviously.

RB: Matt Forte 1.6

  • Not in my top 10 yet but can see why others would. If Cutler is the boon this team needed it should help him live up to your expecations.
RB: Steve Slayton 2.5

  • Not knowing who is still on the board I think you selected the top 2 players that exploded on the field last year that could suffer growing pains their 2nd year. Hou has been on the brink for years now but like you I'm rooting this is their year to make some noise.
WR: Anquan Boldin 3.6

  • This pick looks about right and I have not heard anything recently about an imminent trade to a team that might hurt his #s.
WR: Wes Welker 4.5

  • I have just never jumped on the Welker bandwagon and on any other team he would be another middle of the pack WR. He has outperformed my expectations the past 2 years and I do not see why that will not happen again.
QB: Matt Ryan 5.6

  • May not have the type of season he did last year but should turn in a solid performance and establish himself as a premier qb in the league for many years to come.
TE: Jason Witten 6.5

  • How can you argue with selecting the top TE in the 6th?
RB/WR: Knowshon Moreno 7.6

  • Nothing against this pick but a good time for me to mention the emphasis on youth in this draft may result in more inconsistent play. Is this a dynasty format or just a redraft mindset?
BE: Darren Sproles 8.6

  • Should get his touchs in but will they be enough to warrant a start (even as a bye filler) short of LT being injured or simply not producing?
BE: Steve Breaston 9.5

  • For this late in the draft I think you got great value but even more so if Boldin is traded (moves from a nice bench pick to situational starter depending on Boldin's final destination)
BE: Kyle Orton 10.6

  • Knowing who was still available would help but in his new environment this could be great value.
BE: Kellen Winslow 11.5

  • The new environment for Winslow and on the TB team in general could bump him back up to one of the top TEs in the game. Regardless this should be a great value at this stage of the draft.
BE: Shonn Greene 12.6

  • If Jones is traded this kid is set to explode. If not I see his touchs to limited for to much fantasy impact but would be a good longterm pick.
BE: Hakeem Nicks 13.5

  • Reviews have been mixed on how Nicks will transition to the NFL. I like him longterm but can see him starting off slow. Should have the opportunity to learn quickly so regardless of the format he is a nice pick here.
D/ST: Packers 14.5

  • Hard to saw not knowing what teams were still on the board but early indications are that this D should be solid.
BE: Jeremy Maclin 14.6

  • If he and Nicks have strong rookie seasons your team will rock at the WR position. What was the trade that allowed you to move up?
K: Rob Bironas 16.5

  • Should perform solidly for you making 85-87% of his kicks for you. Team should be providing him with sufficient opportunities.

Pretty sweet team RH.

You found some nice values. The only picks I question were 2.5 Slaton and 9.6 Beaston.

Westy was still available and you went with Slaton. Not a huge difference, but I can't pass on Westy.

Also, I understand the Breaston pick, because you have Boldin, but when Anthony Gonzalez is available in the 9th round, I gotta snatch that kid up. In my opinion, he is going to be the greatest value in this years draft.

A bold statement, but I'm a bold man.

:scared: Sweet Jesus! Westbrook fell to the second half of round 2??? WTF!

Now I question the Forte AND the Slaton picks. :nono:

Am I the only one who thought the title of the thread was, "my first Mock draft"?

oh, wait, i see.

he took Steve with Brian on the board. good question

Ooooh ok MJ. You wanna play it like that, huh?

Every since I gave you that  the other night things have been weird.

You don't love me anymore? Fine!! I'll give you a taste of your own medicine.

If the ants went marching in, then how was it possible for the Boston tea party to paint the oceans black? It is so, because Adolf predicted it, so many years ago. From that time forth the dog soldiers have become obsessed with the cleansing of one's soul.

See, you're not the only person who can post some crazy shit that makes no sense whatsoever. Or does it??

From this time forth, everytime you post something that resembles a cohesive thought, I will follow it with some of this same nonsense until someone challenges my sanity.:pickle:

Lucky for me, that only happens about once a week anymore.:)

harsh. most harsh ER.

if you look, you will find I agreed with you. i only took a friendly shot in passing.

and dude, like you're ever gonna be able to, quote "From this time forth, everytime you post something that resembles a cohesive thought, I will follow it with some of this same nonsense until someone challenges my sanity.:pickle:"

You may as well have threatened to start bombing Russia once Air Force One runs out of your favorite Jelly Belly.

Only firing a friendly shot in return.

And by the way, my favorite Jelly Belly is a grape Jelly Belly that resembles Abraham Lincoln, so if anyone in Russia is reading this, you may want to start the evacuation.
