Moss trade help

My cousin offered this trade to me I'm 7-1 first in my 12 team league by one game. i'm thinking no because who knows what team he will be on and who knows if he will play or just hot dog it. he needs a wr bad because he a floyd who is hurt.

I give - Colston,Edwards
I get - Moss, s. holmes


my lineup

My RB- C.johnson,charles,d.williams,jacobs,f.jackson,
My WR- colston,lloyd,garcon,edwards,royal
 
I am with Sarge, I do this easily for the upside. You are getting the two BETTER WRs.

You never know with Randy obviously, he may stop playing at any time, and Holmes missed a bit of time. But their upside is way better then Holmes-Colston.
 
here's why I DON'T do this trade.....

Colston is STILL the most targeted pass catcher on the Saints. He's got a pretty favorable schedule upcoming, and he's definitely still the redzone target. But probably the most important point for a 7-1 team, you KNOW what you're getting from him, consistency! He's caught at least 5 balls in each of the past 4 games, with 2 TD's!
You DON'T know what you're getting with Moss, plain and simple. He's capable of 6/115/2, the problem is, he's just as capable of 2/15.
Add to that I still like Edwards over Holmes this year, and I say no to the deal.

Meanwhile, Edwards has been inconsistent except for 1 pretty big thing.......he's got TD's in 4 out of the 7 games he's played in!

I just don't see it.......
 
Great points maverick! But this is my problem with Edwards, people are like "4 TDs in 7 games"

Umm... yeah, but 1 since Holmes came back. His value was all pre-Holmes.

In the 3 games since Holmes has come back, Edwards production has gone from 5 grabs, to 4 grabs, to 1 grab last week. Holmes has not done much either getting those just 40 yard games in all 3, but clearly since he has come back, Edwards has been struggling for FF production. I think you unload him now while his value is still inflated.
