Momma don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys

ESPN is reporting that Texas native Adrian Peterson called up Cowboy owner Jerry Jones during the off season to tell him that he'd like to finish up his career in Dallas. Jones reportedly is warm to the idea. Now the question becomes is this tampering? I hardly see how it could be since the player spent his own quarter on the phone call. AP is locked up with the Vikes for 2 or 3 more years and at 29 years of age he isn't likely to ever call Arlington home during his playing career. Still I'm guessing that it's enough to make Viking fans sick to their stomachs just knowing about this.

Adrian Peterson denies telling Cowboys owner Jerry Jones he would be interested in playing for Dallas.

"This was a casual conversation in which I never indicated I wanted to leave the Vikings," Peterson said. "I have always said I understand the NFL is a business, but that I would love to retire as a Viking." The truth is probably somewhere between Jones' reported words and Peterson's statement. It's a non-issue for as long as Peterson is under contract with the Vikings. AD is signed through 2017.
