Meachem primed for a breakout 2011 season?

(Rotoworld) Matt Williamson of Scouts, Inc. smells a breakout season for Robert Meachem. Analysis: Marques Colston has had five knee surgeries in five years and projects to lose targets this season. Meachem, a 2007 first-round pick, is a big-play threat that struggled with an ankle injury last year. Expected to be 100 percent for training camp, Meachem will be well worth a flier in fantasy leagues.

Wasn't Meachem supposed to break out the past 2 years? I'll believe it when I see it.

The only real problem is he drops every other pass thrown his way... Other then that he's a solid WR option.

Tough call on a breakout season. Like n0rm stated he has been a top "breakout" candidate for a few years. Mental points out that it was dropsies that prevented it earlier. Last year he had a hard time staying on the field with the ankle injury. So now we have two mild knocks on a WR with plenty potential but he had a pretty good year last year just in spurts.

could be a great chance for him.

You have Bush maybe gone.
You have Colston back from another injury.
you have Moore as a potential FA.

he could be solid, if he could just stay healthy

I agree, don't we hear this every year? He will have a great 3/4 game stretch and then nothin the rest

Lol, we sure do.... We used to compete and take turns trying to draft him since his rookie year in Shula league. Each year one of us would get him and the other would be mad for taking the others sleeper.

I bet they keep Moore. He has his Qb's confidance in key situations, and Jimmy Graham is gonna take over a big chunk of fantasy production.

The rest of the WRs were full of peaks and valleys. Moore was good for game to game consistency. Graham could be a scoring monster, Brees really spreads the ball around with the best of them. All the WRs could end up as nice yardage guys with a 6-7 TD ceiling

The New Orleans Times-Picayune expects free agent Lance Moore to re-sign with the Saints on a contract worth about $3 million annually.

You have to watch Lance Moore because in this system he probably won't end up the best WR. But he could be real close and be had much cheaper.
