rotoworld,
Saints placed WR Robert Meachem (toe surgery), FS Darren Sharper (knee), and LB Clint Ingram (knee) on the active/PUP list.

Sharper is expected to pass his physical soon, and GM Mickey Loomis indicated that Meachem should be "full go" the week after next. He's battling Devery Henderson and Lance Moore for snaps this year, so we're anxious to see him on the field before the end of camp. It sounds like he's on track to play in the first preseason game.

cbssports.com,
Saints head coach Sean Payton said he hopes to have WR Robert Meachem (toe) off the PUP list by the early part of this week. It leaves the possibility open that he can practice when the Texans come to New Orleans on Wednesday. "I think he’s very close," Payton said after Sunday morning’s practice. "I think Robert is progressing pretty well on schedule and we can have him hopefully here in the next couple of days."

Analysis: Meachem had his finest season in 2009, racking up 45 catches for 722 yards and nine touchdowns. The Saints still have players like Marques Colston, Devery Henderson and Lance Moore on the depth chart, but New Orleans really likes the way Meachem can stretch a defense. He is averaging 17.7 yards per catch in his career. Draft Meachem as a No. 3 Fantasy WR.

rotoworld,
Saints activated Robert Meachem (toe) from the active/PUP list.

Meachem was in pads Monday and finally practicing after missing the entire offseason program plus the first two weeks of training camp. After last season's breakout, the former No. 27 overall pick will push Devery Henderson for the No. 2 receiver gig in the Saints' explosive offense. Though some form of a rotation is likely, it's certainly a battle to watch.

Not sure his fantasy value is off the PUP list yet. He's fallen in quite a few drafts so far. Could be a great value if he's truly recovered.
