McNabb to Vikings rumors are still floating around.

Pro Football Weekly reports there is a "growing sense" the Vikings might attempt to acquire Donovan McNabb. Reporter Eric Edholm believes it may only take a conditional 2012 draft pick to land the former Offensive Player of the Year. Sports Illustrated's Peter King mentioned the possibility of Minnesota going after McNabb on Monday, so it's definitely nothing to scoff at. One thing still appears certain, he will not be back with Washington in 2011.

It might be a decent stopgap method using both McNabb and giving Joe Webb a good audition during the season. With drafting rookie QBs being a lot like Russian Roulette and a perceived weak QB class it could be a sensible although not the most exciting move.

Been a good deal of off season talk regarding Palmer, Bulger, Kolb, and the rookie class. It just dawned on me how little we've heard about McNabb and where he can fit in. If I'm a first year coach like Frazier or the Titan's coach, I'd rather not take a vet with a self sense of entitlement like McNabb. Maybe Marvin Lewis or Tony Sparano could get him to take practice seriously.

The Minnesota Vikings are interested in acquiring Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb, who is likely to be released by the Redskins this year, according to NFL.com. However, the Vikings will not be able to acquire him until a new collective bargaining agreement is reached. It is believed that McNabb would be willing to give the $3.5 million signing bonus back to the Redskins in exchange for his release. McNabb to Minnesota could be a nice fit as the veteran quarterback could be the piece the Vikings have been missing since the retirement of Brett Favre. McNabb had some issues last season in Washington and a change of scenery could be just what he and the Vikings need.

This rumor has been around for awhile but this new bit of info is interesting.

First Favre now Mcnabb. Whos next Marino? Montana? I hear Jim Plunkett might be interested. Is Minny stuck on stupid or am i missing something here?

From what I've been reading the Vikings like QB Locker enough to draft him in the first. IF he makes it that far which is a big if.

IF Locker gets taken by Minnesota, it is a lousy pick, if he gets taken earlier, then it is an incredibly lousy pick. :xpuke:

Locker sucks, pure and simple.

Even if they draft a Qb, they may still get McNabb just for stop gap. I would love to see Webb get a shot though, espescially over Locker... :xpuke:
