rotoworld, Donovan McNabb passed through waivers unclaimed and will be free to sign with any team beginning on Monday.
He's an unrestricted free agent. It was just 383 days ago that the Redskins signed McNabb to a "five-year, $78 million extension" that proved to be perhaps the phoniest contract in the history of professional sports. Now 34 and short on both mobility and accuracy, McNabb is generating no interest. ESPN's Chris Mortensen has reported that the Bears have no plans to sign McNabb as a free agent, and the Texans prefer Jake Delhomme. The Vikings replaced McNabb on Friday by claiming Sage Rosenfels off waivers from the Dolphins. At this point, it would be an upset if McNabb made another NFL start.
