(KFFL) Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the New York Jets announced Tuesday, Feb. 2, that QB Mark Sanchez (knee) has decided to have surgery on his left knee, but there seems to be gray area on the length of the recovery period. The team would not give a specific timetable, saying only that Sanchez will be ready before the start of training camp. When it was revealed last week that Sanchez was mulling surgery, the feeling close to the team was that it would be a two-month recovery. Sanchez will have the surgery, believed to be an arthroscopic procedure, in approximately two weeks.
