Maclin banged up

rotoworld,
The Eagles are initially calling the injury suffered by Jeremy Maclin on Tuesday "a hyperextended left knee."

This doesn't sound so bad, but an MRI could always reveal a more serious injury. So we'll wait on guessing any timetables for return. By all accounts, Maclin looked to be in serious pain on the field, and the Eagles huddled for prayer after practice. Expect Maclin to at least miss the rest of the week.

CSNPhilly.com reports A league source said that Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin's MRI revealed only a bone bruise and no ligament damage to the meniscus. No timetable is known for Maclin's return to the practice field, who said he should be "all right," even though hyperextended knees usually require several weeks on the sideline.

rotoworld,
Jeremy Maclin (knee) and Asante Samuel (hamstring) returned to Eagles practice Saturday afternoon.

Maclin was thought to have hyperextended his knee in Tuesday's practice, but it was later diagnosed as a bone bruise. He was not limited in Saturday's return and was not sporting any type of sleeve or knee brace. The injury shouldn't have any long-term effects, and Maclin is safe to draft as a high-upside WR3.

First the knee, now the shoulder. Maclin's painful summer continues.

rotoworld,
Eagles coach Andy Reid confirmed following Friday's preseason loss that X-rays came back negative on Jeremy Maclin's left shoulder.

Sounds like it was just a contusion, after all. Maclin should be listed as day to day, and might not even miss a significant chunk of practice. He remains worth drafting in all leagues as a WR3, with a touch more value in non-PPR.

I'm sure hoping that this kid can get healthy and stay that way. I see this as a good year for him if he's able to stay on the field.
