LSU suspends 2 players, silver lining perhaps?

LSU starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson and linebacker Josh Johns were suspended indefinitely Friday after turning themselves in to police on charges resulting from a bar fight.

The stage is now set for LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee to live a Hollywood type dream as the reigns are in his hands now.

Backing up Lee is Zach Mettenberger.




FTR rumor is that Jordan Jerk Jefferson delivered 5 blows in the altercation. 2 connected with the intended victim while the other 3 landed on unintended targets. It seems his aim in a fight is about the same as his passing game.

How in the hail does a kid in college get 49 pairs of shoes anyway?

Another FTR for what it is worth. Jefferson's dad reports that Jefferson went to the bar wearing slippers that night. Do they count as his 50th pair of shoes?

Im sure the NCAA will be looking into how he got 49 pairs of shoes.

A little extra back story on this is the Marine he punted supposedly was stalking a woman there and there had been issues already in the Corps with this guy. In any event a guy who was supposed to be the leader of a national title contender didnt need to be a bar at the ass crack of night anyway.

This is just a guess - but most college students that I know of that live off campus have a couple of roommates. If he rooms with a couple of other players than 49 shoes is a reasonable number. (got to figure that one football player is going to have at least 5 pairs of cleats, few running shoes, weight lifting shoes... thats before you get to regular everyday shoes.)

Hell I know back when I was serious about running if you looked in my closet you would have found at least 30 pairs of shoes that were just mine. (400 spikes, 800/1600 spikes, 5000 flats, 10000 flats, cross country spikes, cross country flats (for more gravel or trails), road racing flats... and thats before you got to training shoes and old training shoes (training shoes lasted about a month before they had to be replaced)

You know you gotta hold these athletes hands now days or they get stupid and do stupid things. Guess the next thing they need to do is put ankle bracelets on them and place them under house arrest while in college. At least itd keep these kids out of trouble.

Why should there be any hand holding ?? going to college is the first step to adult hood.

Nobody held my hand out of high school when i entered the real world, i was thrown into the fire head first and had to find my own way. Thats how an adult learns to grow up.

I dont know whats involved when a player commits to a college and receives a full ride scholarship, im assuming its some sort of "Contract" they must sign, maybe if the universities had a section that read You Get In Any illegal Trouble of any kind that involves violence etc..... and found guilty your scholarship is revoked.

Not hand holding to the actual hand holding. Thats kinda creepy. But something has to be done, its get old and played out reading these stories. I like the idea of revoking scholarships tho.
