I dont think anything will come of this. I would however caution LSU about any potential future violations. Being that close to Auburn and Alabama, (who we all know are the gold standards in compliance) the NCAA is probably going to set up an office there in Louisiana to be close to them.

BATON ROUGE — While attending a football camp on the LSU campus in 2002, former Auburn player Stanley McClover says he received a $500 "handshake" from someone who told McClover he hoped he would go to LSU.

McClover's statements and various claims by other former Auburn football players that they received money to play at Auburn and also got cash and other inducements from Auburn, Michigan State and Ohio State while being recruited are part of the latest installment of HBO's "Real Sports" series Wednesday night.

BATON ROUGE — Former LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson has disputed the claim of an $80,000 price tag on his head when he was being recruited three years ago as the No. 1 cornerback in the country.

Tulsa assistant coach Van Malone recently told ESPN investigative reporter Kelly Naqi on camera that reputed street agent Willie Lyles of Houston told Malone in the 2007-08 recruiting year that it would cost Texas A&M $80,000 or more to sign Peterson out of Ely High in Pompano Beach, Fla.

Peterson and his father deny the charges and his dad goes on to call Lyles a pimp in the story and says he's nothing more than an escourt service seeking to cash in on his son at Texas A & M. There are no allegations in the story that LSU acted improper during the recruitment of Peterson.
