Lions QB Hill maybe out for year, Staton to start

In the 1 game Stanton really played (against the Giants), CJ had a line of 5-146-1, including a 87 yard TD pass from Stanton to CJ. Obviously not great news, but at least you know that Stanton knows to get the ball to CJ

People that watched the game said the 87 yarder was pretty fluky, with the corner and safety responsible for Calvin running into each other.

That's kind of what I was remembering Machine but didn't look up the actual stat line. It seemed to me that it was a situration where the new QB knew where his bread was buttered so to speak.

I'm curious what the results of the change at QB might hold in store for Morris assuming he's the lead back going foward.

What play did those people watch? I wish I could link nfl.com but I am at work:

Pretty sure the safety/corner do not even touch?

Good find. Not nearly as fluky as I was led to believe.

I'll probably still start Calvin this week - well, at least this week - until I can watch Stanton myself. Lion fans sure seem to be waving the white flag already, just at the drop of Stanton's name.

I thought they should have gone with Staton to begin with when Stafford went down again.

And I think Pettigrew will have good numbers..because as Ive said 1 billion times, there is no greater friend of the young QB than the TE.

Damn the luck for Detroit. With all the injuries they keep suffering year in year out, could this be a conditioning issue? Maybe a new conditioning coach will help. This seems to be more of an issue than the Detroit jinx. They just cant seem to catch a break.

No doubt Hill should have been doing pinkie pulls in the weight room to toughen up dat lil' finger, lol.

No serious you might be on to something there.

LOL, pinkie pulls.

Back in my day, we walked 10 miles up hill dragging a bag of rocks in 10 foot of snow wearing nothing more than a potato sack just to get dirt to rub on our wounds so we could continue playing. Now days it seems if they even get an eyelash in there eye there out 2wks minumum.

Ha! That ain't nuttin! In my day we did the same thing only it was uphill both directions, going and coming. :biglaugh: Then it was the long horseback ride back home to the cabin.

Shit we carried our horses. Couldnt afford to put shoes on them. LOL

AH the memories of the good ole days.
