This all went down in 2006 (the break in). He didn't step down and flee until last season. He had seemingly turned his life around and was doing a good job with Qb's at West Texas A&M. Sounds like his penchant for the pain killers did him him.
This article focused on him asking someone for a pill... not the break in.
How can they not have anyone else committing a crime if this is the case? Do not want to be a Leaf apologist or argue he does not deserve prosecution but there is not enough information (in this article at least) to show me this is not going after him more on name recognition than substance.
That is what the local paper said too. It all led back to the break in. It is a horrible fall from what was looking like a really good "feel good" come back story.
